ملت ایران از انتخاب بین بد و بدتر عبور کرده است + ترجمه به انگلیسی

هموطنان عزیز!

جبهه ملی ایران سازمانی است که در میدان مبارزات انتخاباتی تاسیس گردیده و اولین سنگ بنای آن در سال ۱۳۲۸ در جریان انتخابات دوره شانزدهم مجلس شورای ملی به دست دکتر محمد مصدق بر زمین نهاده شده است. بنا بر این، با چنین سابقه و گذشته ای، طبیعی است که این سازمان، بیشترین توجه و تاکید را در امر انتخابات داشته باشد. اما اهمیت انتخابات برای ما و تاکیدمان نسبت به آن در صورتی است که انتخابات به شکلی سالم و بی غل و غش و در شرایطی دموکراتیک برگزار شود. نه انتخاباتی که از حضور افراد ملت به مانند عواملی بی اراده و بی اختیار، سوء استفاده شده و به سلامت عقل و آگاهی و قدرت تشخیص آنان اهانت گردد. پیش شرط های لازم برای انجام یک انتخابات سالم و آزاد، تحقق آزادی احزاب و اجتماعات، آزادی مطبوعات، آزادی حق انتخاب کردن وآزادی حق کاندیدا شدن است. وقتی حکومت تحت عنوان نظارت استصوابی توسط شورایی انتصابی به نام شورای نگهبان، تمام شخصیت های سیاسی مورد وثوق مردم را به زعم خود رد صلاحیت کرده و فقط افرادی از بین عوامل خود را گزینش نموده و به نام کاندیدا در مقابل مردم قرار می دهد و از مردم می خواهد که به پای صندوق های رای بروند و به یکی از این حواریون حکومت رای بدهند، آیا به این حرکت، که جز اهانت به شعور مردم و نا بالغ و ناقص العقل تصور کردن آنان چیز دیگری نیست می توان انتخابات نام نهاد؟ و آیا این ترفند آلوده به فریب و ریا را می توان « انتخابات » دانست؟ آیا یک چنین شکلی از انتخابات در هیچ کشوری در جهان سابقه دارد؟ افزون بر شکل برگزاری انتخابات که از فلسفه و چگونگی یک انتخابات واقعی به دور است، ما در حکومت جمهوری اسلامی با ساختاری مواجهیم که نه مجلس شورا، مجلسی است که دارای اختیار بوده و بتواند وظیفه نمایندگی مردم را ایفاء نماید و نه رئیس جمهوری آن، همان طور که به کرات دیده ایم، نقشی در تعیین خط مشی سیاسی کشور و روابط بین المللی دارد و یا در سیاست داخلی توانی در حفظ و صیانت از حقوق ملت را داراست و علاوه بر بی اختیاری در مسائل سیاسی، در مسائل امنیتی و تصمیمات کلان اقتصادی و اجتماعی هم محلی از اعراب ندارد.

جبهه ملی ایران اعتقاد دارد که تمام زنان و مردان ایرانی که از سوء پیشینه های اجتماعی مبرا باشند، با هر مرام و طرز تفکر سیاسی و عقیدتی باید از حق رای دادن و حق کاندیدا شدن برای انتخابات برخوردار باشند.

جبهه ملی ایران اعتقاد دارد که برای برگزاری انتخابات آزاد و سالم باید ابتدا آزادی احزاب و اجتماعات و آزادی مطبوعات و سایر رسانه های همگانی محقق گردد.

جبهه ملی ایران اعتقاد دارد که بدون تحقق شرایط فوق، شرکت در انتخابات جز مهر تایید زدن بر انتخاباتی نا صحیح و فریبکارانه که از اساس از شرایط انتخابات سالم و آزاد به دور است، نتیجه دیگری ندارد و لذا اعضاء و هواداران جبهه ملی ایران در انتخاباتی این چنین، که به وضوح از موازین انتخابات واقعی به دور است شرکت نخواهند نمود. ما از انتخاب بین بد و بد تر عبور کرده ایم و خواهان انتخاب خوب و خوب ترین ها برای میهنمان می باشیم.

Iranians have passed the stage of the lesser of two evils principle!

 

Dear fellow compatriots,

The National Front of Iran is an organization that was established in the election campaign arena and its first cornerstone was laid by Dr. Mohammad Mossadeq in 1328 during the 16th parliamentary elections. It is natural with such a history and past, for this organization to have the utmost attention and emphasis on the elections. But what we mean by elections is when they are held in a healthy honest  and a democratic manner, and not elections that exploit the citizens’ presence and treat them as indifferent or undecided individulas and insult their sanity, alertness and commonsense.

Prerequisites for a healthy and free election are the acquisition of the rights to organize parties and the like, freedom of the press, the voting rights and the freedom to run for office.

The government, by an appointed council called the Guardian Council, in the name of approbative supervision, disqualifies all the political figures trusted by the people and selects only some of its own agents and presents them as so called “candidates” and then requires people to vote for one of the government’s apostles. Can such mechanism, which is nothing but an insult to people’s  intelligence and  taking them as immature and unintellignt, be called an “election“? Would this trickery and hypocrisy be considered an “election” and do such processes called elections exist in any country in the world?

In addition to the elections procedures, which are far from genuine elections, in the IRI, we are faced with a structure, in which the parliament does not have the necessary authority to fulfill the duty of representing the people. Furthermore, the president has no role in determining the country’s foreign policy and international relations or any power in domestic policies to protect the rights of the citizens, and in addition to his lack of authority in political matters, he is not that much of a player in the security issues and macroeconomic and social decisions.

 

The National Front of Iran believes that all Iranian men and women who have favorable background checks, regardless of their political and ideological inclinations, should have the right to vote and to run as candidates.

The National Front of Iran believes that in order to hold free and fair elections, the rights to organize parties and leagues and the freedom of the press and other mass media must be achieved first.

The National Front of Iran believes that without fulfilling the above conditions, participating in the elections will have no other result than endorsing an erroneous and deceiving election, which is fundamentally far from a healthy and free election. Thus members and supporters of the National Front of Iran  will not participate in the election, which is clearly far from the criteria of genuine elections. We have passed the stage of the lesser of two evils principle and we want to choose the good and the best for our country.
